2023 02 news clownMilney tackles the legends

Golfing royalty and our own clown prince will slug it out in a Skins game for the ages right here at Portarlington next week.

Yep, on Monday at 5pm, as part of the Barwon Cleaning Supplies Portarlington Legends Pro-Am festivities, we will feature a star-studded six-hole shootout for more than $3000 cash.

Defending Port pro-am champ Mike Harwood, Australian Open hero Peter Fowler, US PGA Tour winner Andre Stolz, all-round champ Glenn Joyner and our very own resident genius Matthew Milne will go head to head in the classic Skins format.

Play will be on modified holes using the 1st, 17th and 18th greens only, ensuring audience participation will be paramount. Quite simply, if one player has the best score alone, he will pocket the cash. If there’s a tie, it jackpots to the next hole.

If we finish with a jackpot on the final hole, there will be a special nearest-the-pin shootout from near the pro shop across to the 18th green to determine the big winner!

And for those who don’t even want to walk up and back three times to follow it all, we’ll provide a free sausage sizzle and an outdoor bar for your comfort and entertainment right near the first tee.

So come down and take it all in – and watch our very own “Milney” take it up to the legends of the game!!
