The Junior/Senior ambrose, was held on Sunday 19th of October, and although the numbers were down on last year the enthusiasm and good play was up!
Our two scholarship holders, Jamie Schreuder and Will English displayed the skills and sportsmanship worthy of the title they hold for this year. Congratulations to both of them. This scholarship is given to two or three of our Sunday Juniors who display the qualities which Port golf club hold in high regard, dedication, commitment and respect.
The great smiles go a long way as well!

I was lucky enough to witness very good and very, very good shots from both kids and adults. There were some not so , but … that’s golf. I have to thank my special helper Nick English, He encouraged every one out there but I think his absolute favourite was Swainey.
Congratulations to the Edmanson family ,Jen, Rick ,Max and Caitlin who won on the day with a very tight finish to Jack Martin , Conor Davison, Bill martin and Max Davison.
Many thanks to Matt ,Tyson and Irene for all the work they did in organizing the event .
Also thanks to Nancy Hendy , Dave Gray and Phil O’Connor who lent their buggies to some of the younger ones who couldn’t get around 18 holes. I think we would still be out there without their generosity!
PENNANT
Junior Pennant season is on the doorstep and after last years great result we are looking at doing even better this year
We have two teams competing for Portarlington and although the season is short we are excited about the caliber of players representing our club.
I am especially pleased that we have three of our junior girls playing in the line up. They all enjoyed it last year and in the company of their peers had a lot of fun and success.
