A decisive vote was taken at the Annual General Meeting to form a combined Golf Committee. As a great deal of preparatory work had been done over the last 12-18 months there seemed no need to delay the process. Nominations were therefore called for in early December and closed on Friday 5th January for the new combined Portarlington Golf Committee.
We are pleased to announce that our new Club Captain is Jan Cogger and the Committee will comprise the following members: Vice-Captain - John W Bowman, Jill Barker, Jenny Edmanson, Arthur McPhee, Jillian Peppard, Beth Peterson, Neil Ryan, and Peter Solohub.
This is a significant moment in our Club’s history not only that we now have a combined Golf Committee but also that Jan Cogger will be our first female Club Captain. Jan is a very good communicator and with her knowledge and experience will provide great leadership to the committee.
The Board of Directors extends congratulations to these inaugural committee members and recognises that the formation of this Committee heralds an exciting new future for our Club.
The Board and Management look forward to working closely with them as they develop a cohesive and progressive committee for the benefit of all Portarlington golfers.
