- How much does it cost? A one off $30 for the season is your only outlay
- What is the prizemoney? A minimum of $1000 1st prize is guaranteed, depending on number of entries, but is usually at least $1200. Plus cash prizes for the 1st six placegetters at the end of the season.
- How do I put my tips in? You will receive your tipping pack from reception upon payment of your entry fee, which will include a fixture card and 2 free drink tickets. To enter, simply cross out the team that you predict will LOSE the game, leaving your winning tip clear.
- Is there any reward for tipping the card? We have a $20 jackpot each week if you tip the card, unless there is more than 5 players who tip all winners in one round, in which case it jackpots to the next week. Last year one tipster collected $200 for tipping the card at one stage during the season.
- What happens if I forget to put my tips in? If that happens, you get the tips equal to the lowest tipper of the round.
- We are going away for several weeks during the season. What should we do? Quite a common situation, tipsters can put their tips in for any number of games in advance if they wish. Occasionally some tipsters put their tips in for the whole season, and have been quite successful doing that.
- What happens to the jackpot during bye rounds? The jackpot is suspended during the bye rounds, although the $20 continues to jackpot.
- Do I get a point if there is a drawn game? Yes, all players get the point, but the jackpot can’t be won with 8 wins and a draw.
- How do I check my progress? Results are published on the clubhouse noticeboard usually during the day after the last match of the round, and the spreadsheet of all tipsters is also published on this website.
