It came down to all the Ian’s and the Whyley’s in the final four for the Singles Knockout win, with Ian Flanders taking out Mick Whyley, and Gavin Whyley taking out Ian Francis in the semi finals. This left “Gavmeister Whyley” to play “Ian Ned Fireball Flanders” in a gripping final.
Referee Sue Hazell was on deck to see that all was fair and equitable for the fiery event. Low and behold Gavin, (the new Club Champion by the way), came out on top in swinging form. The competition was forgotten within a matter of moments in the Clubhouse when the Carlton Draught was in full flow for team Flanders and any dampened spirits were truly drowned out.
