Update on the Covid-19 virus relating to golf course procedures

As from Monday 23/03/2020 the Golf Club Clubhouse has closed indefinitely as per federal government announcement on Sunday night. Access to the clubhouse is off limits to all members and visitors. We have received clarification that the golf course can remain open for play at this stage, however we are awaiting official confirmation from Golf Australia. This is a fast moving landscape and changes are occurring hourly. The following measures have been put in place for the safety of our members and guest and will hopefully allow us to enjoy the game for as long as we can.

Pro Shop Entry

Entry to the pro shop will be limited to 4 customers only at a time. Please stand at the marked areas in the pro shop to adhere to social distancing. Please limit your time in the Pro Shop

Payment

All payments are now via your pro shop account or Eftpos. NO CASH TRANSACTIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Golf Carts

Golf carts can still be used but will be limited to 1 person per cart (NO SHARED CARTS). This applies to the pro shop carts as well as members own carts.

Marking of Scorecards

The player will mark their own score card. Please verbally certify your score with your marker (group).

Scorecard Scanning

The scanning of score cards will continue to be done by the Pro Shop Staff. Please leave your scorecard in the box provided at the pro shop entrance.

Nearest the Pins

Due to multiple people touching the NTP markers and discs all NTP and Pro Pins have been suspended until further notice.

Flagsticks

The committee has decided that the flagstick MUST remain in the hole at all times. The player MAY straighten the flagstick if it is on an angle with their putter. This practice will be monitored over the next few days with the last resort being that flagsticks may be removed from greens if the above request is not adhered to. If flagsticks are removed the player will rely on the pin chart position sheet for location.

Bunkers

Rakes will be removed from all bunkers. Players are to smooth their footprints and divot with their foot or club head. The committee has chosen to implement a preferred lie (place the ball) in a bunker of 1 card length from where the ball lies.

Ball Washers

Ball Washers are NOT to be used. They have been covered for your protection.

Drink Fountains

All drink fountains are NOT to be used. Please bring plenty of water with you to the course.

These changes are not done lightly and the club is wanting to ensure our members, staff and visitors are still able to enjoy our club while we still can. We appreciate your co-operation with the temporary changes to our course playing conditions.
