As a result of the recent government bans concerning COVID-19, and the announcement of the prohibition of indoor non-essential gatherings of over 100 people, the Portarlington Golf Club has implemented a number of measures. These measures are to provide continued employment wherever possible. As these changes will be effective immediately, the following operational changes will take place as follows:
Venue Operations
- Bistro
Bookings are Essential – Limited to 60 people in one sitting
Lunch: Noon & 1pm (Two sittings)
Dinner: 5.45pm & 7:15pm (Two sittings)
First sitting bookings for both lunch and dinner, will be asked to leave by 1pm and 7pm respectively.
As per recommendations, distance between patrons is required.
- Bar, Entertainment and TAB facilities will remain open. We will not allow numbers to exceed 100 people in our venue (including staff).
- Courtesy Bus will continue to run until further notice.
Golfing Operations
- Golf competitions will continue and green fee players are welcome.
Changes to Clubhouse Activities:
- Wednesday Carvery and Members Draw will cease after 18th of March, until further notice.
- Friday Night Raffles and Members Draws will cease until further notice.
- Friday Night Happy Hour 6 – 7pm to continue.
- Bingo will be suspended until further notice.
- Footy Tipping Competition will be cancelled. Refunds will be given the week of 23rd of March.
Health and hygiene standards are being continually practiced to the highest possible standards within our facility. If you have any personal health concerns, we respectfully ask that you do not visit our venue within this time.
This is a very new and changing landscape for our facility. We will endeavour to keep you updated on any further operational changes. We will continue to try to maintain facility operations to the best of our ability within the recent guidelines given. We are doing our best to keep our staff in employment and in turn, keep providing a terrific facility for members and guests to visit.
Please feel free to discuss any of these decisions with me at any time. As these restrictions were imposed immediately and without notice the above changes may be altered from time to time. We can assure that all our members and guests will be provided with information as it continues to unfold.
