Dear Members,
I hope these few words find you all fit and well and no doubt champing at the bit to get back playing golf.
Its interesting, normally I would be itching to get back out there but I have been that busy around the house getting jobs done, so I will not feel guilty being on the practice fairway and playing when the time comes for us to get back out there.
Just reminder that golf at this stage is not considered part of the essential things we can do. I understand it is tempting and very hard not to go out and have a little crack especially when golf is good exercise, however, the Victorian Government has said no golf until further notice, hopefully when they review in May we might get a reprieve.
Matt has been emailing things we can do to keep focused on golf while we are all in isolation with some tips on practicing in your rear or front garden, have a look and have a go.
One area that would be good and something we should be doing prior to hitting of the first tee is stretching (me included) . There are numerous YouTube sites that every one could benefit from, just type in exercise for golf and or stretching and numerous sites are available.
In my last report I did say I would get a quiz together and Matt and Tyson have kindly offered to put up some prizes for the most points scored over the two quizzes. The link below is the first one and the seconded round will be in a couple of weeks.
Just a note that the one Matt has included on his email today is a warm up and is not included in the two quizzes, which you will find a couple of spelling issues and incorrect answers.
I would like to thank Gary Thompson for building the platform and putting the quiz together. When back playing we will use this format to include rules questions in our monthly Chipshots.
