Dear Members
Well there is not much to report this month, however at least we are still able to get on the course and have a social game.
The course is in great shape and drying out nicely, although we do have some areas that are very wet.
I guess most of us would have seen the tree damage from the storm that last week with some very large trees blown over.
As we are all aware the handicap rounds have been suspended. This is due to amount of damage caused by the freak storm, it would be impossible to treat all the damaged areas as GUR as there is so much around the course. The ground staff are doing their best to clean the course up with limited resources and working on reduced hours.
Please bare with us during the clean up, I will review the course condition next week after the tree on the second has been removed.
One last thing, I am not sure if any members would be interested in playing Handiskins. Handiskins commenced 9 years ago and has taken off. There is a one off charge of $39 to play and most of the entry fees goes back into prizes.
It is a great concept and the winners of the clubs event gets an opportunity to play in the final on the Gold Coast.
Check it out on the Handiskins web site for all the details.
Hopefully we will have good news after the Premier’s announcements this Sunday.
