Dear Members
Well today gave us some optimism that we will be back playing in fours as early as next week. I guess we will have to wait for announcements later this week to see if Regional Victoria can take the next step into opening further.
If we can get the go ahead to play in fours and competitions we will reopen the time sheets as we did previously so everyone can re book their fours hopefully this coming Saturday, however, we do need to wait until further announcements are made.
I had a brief discussion with our course Superintendent this morning about the ongoing clean up from the recent storm and we agreed that handicap rounds can recommence from this Saturday, hopefully we will be playing in fours.
Later this week I will be putting GUR signs around the worst affected areas ie, ground that has been leveled out where trees have been removed and any remaining tree trunks that still have not been removed.
As mentioned above most of the affected areas will have signs so it should not be a major issue. If you are in doubt you do have the option of playing two balls and seek advise at the pro shop on completion of your round.
As soon as we get confirmation that the we go back to playing in fours emails and notices will be sent to all Members who have included their email address.
As mentioned in my last report we will be introducing the Handiskins competition next year, if we can get good numbers to run the event. Don’t forget it is open to both Men and Ladies. Further details will be out in the next few months.
The Captain and Committee.
