To all members,

The Victorian Government has just eased some restrictions in regional Victoria, effective midnight Wednesday 16th September 2020.
The Portarlington Golf Club Board, in line with current legislation, has adjusted the restrictions at the Club as follows:

GOLF

  • Competition play will commence from Saturday.
  • Group sizes will increase to 4 players from Thursday.
  • Bunkers are still preferred lies. No rakes available – try to smooth out your footprints etc.
  • Flag stick to remain in at all times.
  • Social distancing at 1.5 metres still applies.
  • No physical contact.
  • The Mi-Club scoring APP is preferred scoring method, paper scorecards will be available to those who do not have the APP
  • Wearing of face covering still applies. No mask- no play!
  • Carts must still be single occupancy unless members are from the same household.
  • If you are feeling unwell, or you are awaiting COVID test results do not come to the Club.

Time sheet amendments.

Rather than delete existing time sheets and bookings for Thursday-Tuesday we will amend the current time sheets to allow 4 players to play together instead of the current groups of 2.

If you are currently booked in on these days and happy with your time you will not need to do anything, if you are unhappy with your initial time ie booked in at 2pm and prefer to play at 9am or wish to join another group you have the option of moving to an earlier time when those spaces become available. This Saturday competition will be a 1st tee start only.

The amended time sheets will be available to make alterations from today at 4:30pm.

PRACTICE

  • Practice areas will &re-open with Social Distancing and Social Gathering numbers applying.

THE CLUBHOUSE

  • Clubhouse will be open from Friday 18 September from 11am.
  • We can use 2 rooms inside to cater for 10 people in each room and 50 people on the outside deck area.
  • Maximum stay 2 hour duration
  • Contact the clubhouse regarding bookings and operational matters.
