Stage One of the building renovation was completed and handed over on the 18^th of December last year.  The area is north facing which provides plenty of light and views to the bistro area.  The Stage One area has been a welcome addition to the Clubhouse, resulting in record bar and bistro sales to date.

There has been some comment from members and diners regarding the acoustics of the Stage One area. Club management is actively sourcing viable sound absorbing solutions to rectify the issue as soon as possible.  

Stage Two of the building renovation has commenced and will be ready for completion mid-year, with the entire project to date being consistent with budget costs.  Stage Two will seat 180 people, which upon completion will be a fabulous asset to our venue and provide another revenue stream for our Club, whilst providing members and guests with a wonderful view of our course.  

The Stage Two wing will feature updated decor and modern honour boards.  Those currently seeking information on the honour boards in the interim or wanting to learn more about our Club history are encouraged to interact with the Memorabilia Kiosk in the clubhouse foyer next to the trophy cabinet.  Many thanks to Tony Meagher, who has tirelessly collated all the information for the Kiosk and has thus produced a fantastic display.

The Board of Directors has received and accepted a letter of resignation from the Board from Gordon Atkins.  The board will continue to operate as a six-person board with a view to increasing the number of directors to seven at the next AGM.

Geelong Hotrodders visit Portarlington Golf Club.  Please note that the practice fairway will be out of bounds during the day, however you are most welcome to come along and see the spectacular 400 vehicles that will be on display. 

Tuesday 4^th February 

Barwon Cleaning Supplies Pro-Am.  Entries available, spectators welcome.  This year sees some of the best Australasian Professionals in the country visiting our Club, as a result as the event being in the same week as the ISPS Handa Vic Open. 

Friday 21^st of February

EJ Whitten Charity Day Entries are filling fast for this fun Ambrose golf day.  With guest speaker Sam Kekovich in attendance, you are sure to be entertained while rubbing shoulders with plenty of past AFL legends.
