Update from the CEO

There is definitely a case for increased optimism, with regard to the possible easing of restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a positive sign for our business, whereby we will have a staged road to recovery beginning with the resumption of playing golf.  Watch out for the announcements on how our Club will manage the return under the possible new guidelines we may face.   I can assure all our members that we have our strategies planned for when that comes, and we would hope that that will be mid-May 2020.

The Clubhouse operation is still several months away, but again we will have in place a safe environment for our staff and all our members and guests for when that is allowed. In the meantime, we have signed up for the JobKeeper subsidy and all our eligible staff are receiving this benefit. I am pleased to advise that our club will survive this period and we will be back bigger and better than before.

Clubhouse Renovations

The building program is moving ahead as planned and we are at the finishing stages of this amazing project. The new View Room, overlooking the course, will be completed and ready for your enjoyment in early July.   I hope that the restrictions will be lifted to allow for clubs to re-open as soon as possible, albeit with space restrictions. The addition of the View Room will provide even further ample area for our members, along with our current clubhouse facility, should social distancing laws remain in place.  I can also advise that the new north facing bistro extension, in the old administration area, is having acoustic improvements installed. The sound improving product called, "Eco-panels", will dramatically reduce noise levels and also become a feature on the ceiling area.

Carnival of Golf

We are sad to announce that as a result of the COVID-19 virus, we are unable to conduct this years Carnival of Golf. The cancellation of this year's event was a very difficult decision, however sponsorship, social distancing, clubhouse restrictions and shotgun starts, have made the practicalities of running this event very difficult. The event will be back in 2021, so we can all look forward to celebrating the events return in its fullest capacity that we have become accustomed to for the past 22 years.

2020 - 2021 Golf Membership Fees

As a result of COVID-19, the Board of Directors have decided that the membership fees will remain the same as last year for the following categories:  Seven Day, Six Day, Lifestyle, Intermediate and Junior memberships.   The second increment of Senior and Veterans membership categories will apply.  There will be no house forfeiture of any unused house levies from the 2019/20 financial year as a result of the clubhouse closure.   The water levy will be suspended until the 30th of June 2021 for golfing members, however the levy will remain in place for green fee players.
