Entries to play in the inaugural Barwon Cleaning Supplies Portarlington Legends Pro-Am are now open.

The event, to be held on Monday, 28 February, has already attracted a great response from some of Australia’s leading pros with legendary stars Peter Senior, Andre Stolz, Richard Green and Mike Harwood among those who’ve entered.

The day will be contested across AM and PM fields, with shotgun starts for both. Entry to the morning field is $65, with the afternoon field entry $85.

Meals will be provided for all players, with huge prize pools for the pros (stroke) and a team stableford event for the amateurs, plus a series of other great competitions throughout the day.

“The tournament is going to be fantastic with so many of the really great players we’ve all watched for years,” Port pro Matt Milne said.

“Obviously it’s our first Legends Tour event, but all the guys have heard about our great pro-ams in the past and there seems to be a really good buzz building around it already.”

Milne urged those considering being part of the day to book early to avoid disappointment.

Bookings can be made via the www.mitournament.com website already regularly in use at the club. If you haven’t logged in there previously, the easiest route to the tournament bookings page is firstly to click on Victoria in the map, then on “Portarlington Golf Club” in the “Organiser” field on the next page. This will take you to a page with both AM and PM events available.

“Come into the Pro Shop to see us if you’re having any difficulties with the process,” Milne offered.
